Hello Everyone!
Its been awhile. We've been hard at work in the background working on Yatamon/ Yanari and we've for some updates to make! Lets jump into it.
Production & Sampling
As of March we're heading into to final sampling of products before we start production. We're hoping to have all samples approved in the begging of April, which should keep us on schedule! That said here is an quick update on each individual product to keep you filled in.
**We'll be releasing a batch of sample photos in our next update! Coming soon!**
Tales From Yatamon. The book is in the final stages of layout and the last remaining art is being finished over the next few weeks. In the mean time we have a test model of the book coming to inspect color, material, and visual elements we have reservations about. We hope to see this sample by the end of the month. Which is around the same time we'll be wrapping up the final design. During this time, we'll also be releasing a preview of the PDF for the community to pour over and give notes.
Yanari The Witches Market. The Board game samples have come in, and besides issues with the playmat, the game is looking top notch. We have a new sample coming as we speak. Once it arrives, we hope to approve it and start production.
Accessory Pack. Samples have come in for each aspect and have all been approved. With the final art being finalized this week, we hope to complete layout next week and start production asap!
DM Screen Pack. We've has some issues with printing errors on the last batch of samples and are working through this problem with the manufacture. New samples are coming in and we hope to have things resolved in the next week or so.
Vinyl Record. Now that the new song is finished we'll be able to start production very soon!
Journal. We just received samples and are super happy with them. Production has just started!
Vending Machine Dice. Samples are on their way!
Acrylic Standees. We've had one batch of samples and had a handful of issue with sizing. We're now waiting on our latest batch and hope the sizing issue will be solved. Overall the quality is great!
New Song
The Community Voted on a song for Sky Kite Valley late last year. We're happy to announce that we'll be previewing that song next week! Keep you eye out on YouTube for when it goes live!
Playtest
If you haven't looked at our playtest, we would love if you could check them out and leave your thoughts in the Discord.
If you didn't know, we're working on a video game! We've made a handful of videos about that topic and this is our latest.

Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had an amazing holiday and are have a great start to the new year! Now that we're back and moving I wanted to jump on here to give an update on the project and talk about the Pledge Manager.
Pledge Manager
It took a bit of time, but we're fully set up in Backer Kit and plan to send a small batch of surveys early next week. Once we can confirm that the pledge manager is running smoothly and people are getting our emails, we'll do a full launch (hopefully at the end of that week).
For those unfamiliar with Backer Kit or pledge managers, this survey is your opportunity to give us your shipping address, the credit card you'd like to use when paying for shipping, and add on any products you may want in your order.
Upcoming Video Update
Next week we'll be releasing a video update where we'll chat about the state of the project, answer question and give timelines. We find this is an easy way to cover a lot of topics and questions all in one place! Look for that video on our YouTube channel early next week.
New Book Previews
We plan to send out previews and playtest material as we continue to make progress. Some PDFs will be large, others will be small, no matter what it is you can find it here!

Pledge Manager Update, 20k Subscriber Special and More!

Hello Everyone,
We've got a lot to talk about, so lets jump into it.
Pledge Manager
In the last update we mentioned that Kickstarter has its own pledge manager, and we're working with the Kickstarter team to see if that is the right fit for this project. If It was, it would allow everyone to manage their order all in one platform, which is what we were hoping for. That said, after learning about the features of Kickstarter's Native Pledge manger and that its still in early development, we decided it was best if we use Backer Kit for this project.
For those familiar with backer kit you can expect your survey email in the coming weeks.
For those new to the platform, backer kit is a separate website which you will use to manager your order information now that the Kicsktarter is over. You'll be sent an email which will include a survey. In that survey you'll give us needed information, such as what your shipping address is, what extra products you might want in your order, and which card you would like to have charged when we ship your product next year.
As we continue to make updates, we'll also give guidance on the subject for those who might be worried.
Book Previews
We plan to send out previews and playtest material as we continue to make progress. Some PDFs will be large, others will be small, no matter what it is you can find it here!
We have officially hit 20k subscribers on Youtube and we celebrated by reacting to the communities Homebrew, as well as announcing a few special giveaways and community builds!

In this week's Podcast: Episode Eighty-Four, Adam, Ari and Jeremiah sit down to give advice on how you a DM can create your own locations withing Obojima. Join them as they discuss what they've done when writing, and how they get new ideas and start creating.

Community Build Winner
Last week we voted on which Obojima location would have song made for it. Just under a thousand of you came out and voted, and with 416 votes, Sky Kite Valley won the pole! We're excited to start working on this and should have more updates on the songs progress soon!
Tales From The Tall Grass PDF Release
For those who purchased the PDF version of Obojima: Tales From the Tall Grass (2024 edition), we sent out the digital download to backers early this week. You should have received an email from 1985 Games with link to download in the email.
If for some reason you should have gotten an email and did not receive one, please reach out to [email protected] so we can help take care of the issue.
Pledge Manager
For those of you excited to add products onto your order or adjust your pledge, we are working in the background to make that happen. Kickstarter has its own pledge manager now, and we're working with the kickstarter team to see if that is the right fit for this project. If It is, it will allow everyone to manage their order all in one platform.
That said, if it doesn't have the needed features for the project, we'll be using backer kit once again.
Right now, we're putting the Pledge manager on hold until we can figure out which will be the best for us and the community, but expect to have an answer for everyone by the end of the month.
